HOUSE - These 12'X24' block houses provide shelter from sweltering heat in the summer and cold nights in the winter. They usually replace structures made of tin, pallets and other scrounged materials.

ROOF - Made of insulated concrete mixed and poured by volunteers in a "bucket brigade," the roof is poured after the walls are constructed and cured.

BLOCKS - Concrete blocks are purchased locally, and are used for the walls. $75 buys 50 blocks.

BAGS OF CEMENT - $60 buys five bags of cement, used for mortar with blocks, and for the roof.

SHOVEL - A simple but essential tool for building houses. They're used to help dig the foundation and to mix cement. $25 buys two.

HAMMER - Used to build cement forms, size concrete blocks, shape rebar hangers, and for many small chores, hammers are crucial tools. $45 buys five.

BUCKETS - Small buckets are used to transport cement in "bucket brigades" when volunteer crews are pouring floors and roofs. $30 buys three.

WHEELBARROW - Used to haul dirt from foundation trenches, sand and rock for mixing concrete, and occasionally children at worksites, wheelbarrows get a real workout. $58

NUTRITION PROGRAM - Each day, some 100 children come to Faith Ministry for a meal. Your contribution provides healthy food that they otherwise wouldn't receive. $300 funds the program for a month.

Your gift is tax deductible. Gifts made through this catalog represent a gift to the entire mission. To help the most number of families with housing, medical and educational needs, Faith Ministry does not use its limited resources to track gifts from donation to distribution. (The exception is the donation of a house. You will receive detailed information about the family that receives the home.)
