Special Notes and General Rules:

No Santa allowed. He will be provided by the Unity Group
Horse groups must provide cleanup for their animals
NO THROWING CANDY! Any injury resulting from the throwing of candy from units will be the responsibility of the parties throwing it.
You will receive an entry number placard. You need to place this number in your window before arriving at the beginning of the parade route.
Please maintain at least 50 foot buffer from the float or unit in front of you!
KEEP YOUR GROUP TOGETHER!! ALL CHILDREN MUST HAVE ADULT SUPERVISION AT ALL TIME!! NO EXCEPTIONS! THANK YOU and BE SAFE!!

Motor Vehicle Participant Rules

Any individuals operating a motorized vehicle will adhere to the following guidelines as set forth by the Chief of Police for the Leland Police Department.

No rapid acceleration or deceleration maneuvers
No spinning or burning of tires
No “wheelies” or acrobatic type maneuvers
No hands free steering of vehicle

These rules are placed into effect as a matter of public safety. Any violations noted during the parade will subject the operator to possible charges of careless or reckless operation of a vehicle.

No alcoholic beverages will be allowed during the parade.
No pets or animals allowed on the float.
No one under 18 years old may drive a float in the parade
Please ---no continuous blowing of sirens and horns while in the parade.

Parade will line up at First Baptist Church of Leland on Village Road. All entries must be at this location no later than 8:45 a.m. Streets will close at 9:00 am sharp!!

The Unity Group of North Brunswick is a non-political community based civic organization. We are not affiliated with any other group, local government or organization. The UGNB sponsors this parade and festival for the sole purpose of the enjoyment of the children and their families in the community and cannot take any responsibility for any accidents, sickness, personal injury, death and expense of any nature incurred by the undersigned or the child participant in their care resulting from the parade and festival. Therefore Know all by All Men that I, representing the above mentioned group and being 21 years of age or older for myself and for good and valuable consideration do hereby release and forever discharge the Unity Group of North Brunswick of Leland, NC and their directors, officers, members, supervisors and agents from any and every liability, right, claim or demand which I have or might otherwise hereafter have against them on account of, connected with or growing out of the above describe Parade and Festival.
