The Junior Counselor Leadership Program is a day program for young men and women ages 13 to 15. This program focuses on developing the participant's leadership, teamwork, and mentoring skills based on camping industry standards. JCs can also participate in one or more Water Rocks Trails Sessions, for a modified tuition. Contact David Roskos for details.

To participate in JCLP, parents must complete this enrollment form, and prospective JCs must complete and return the JCLP application form. JC applications will be reviewed by the Executive Director and the Director of JCLP, and may require a phone or personal interview prior to acceptance.

Red Oak requires a $400.00 deposit to reserve your camper's spot, and full tuition must be paid by March 31, or 30 days upon receipt of invoice after March 31. Extended payment plans are available. Contact David Roskos at redoakcamp@redoakcamp.org for extended payment plans. This deposit may be refunded if a camper application is rejected.

Lunch and Bus Service Options

Daily Lunch Service? Campers can get a lunch each day prepared by Kandy, the camp cook. What are we serving? Lunches vary each week, but you can get a copy of a sample menu by contacting the Executive Director. Lunch is $25.00 per week. If your child has special dietary needs, we recommend that you pack your child's lunch.

* Bus Service. Campers can be dropped off at camp at 9 am, or if you live near Pepper Pike you can use the bus Service - Bus transportation is provided for our day campers from Congregation Bethaynu, 27900 Gates Mills Blvd., Pepper Pike. Bus service is for five weeks. The cost is $300.00. At the start of the Residence portion, campers must be dropped off at camp Monday at 8:30 with their equipment.

Refunds: Your deposit and tuition paid are refundable by sending Red Oak written notice 30 days prior to the start of camp, minus a $45.00 administrative fee. There are no refunds within 30 days of the start of your program, unless the camper cannot attend because of documented health reasons. We must have a letter from a licensed physician. There are no refunds for campers who are dismissed from our program or withdrawn by the parent for any reason.

By checking this box, parents agree that prior to the start of camp, they will complete all forms required for their camp, including but not limited to the Camp’s Statement of Activities, which includes provision for out of camp trips; all required Health Forms; and other forms specific to their program, such as riding. The camp is not responsible for loss or damage to any camper’s property during the camping season.
