Elaine Perry Scholarship Application
 

The Elaine Perry Leadership Scholarship Endowment was established in 1986 through a gift from the Charles A. Frueauff Foundation in memory of Elaine Frueauff Perry, a former member of the Foundation’s board and a good friend of former Regis University President and Chancellor Rev. Davis Clarke, S.J. The scholarships funded by the Endowment are awarded upon a competitive and selective basis. Recipients of this scholarship must be enrolled as a full-time traditional undergraduate student in Regis College, Anderson School of Business and Information Technology or Rueckert-Hartman College for Health Professions, demonstrate a commitment to leadership, exhibit significant leadership potential and participate in the RegisCorps Leadership Development Certificate Program.

 

Eligibility

To be eligible for the Elaine Perry Scholarship, a student must:

  1. Be accepted into the RegisCorps Leadership Certificate Program
  2. Establish and maintain a 3.0 GPA
  3. Have completed a minimum of 15 hours of academic credit when the application is submitted.

Criteria/Guidelines

  1. Recipients must be enrolled as full-time traditional undergraduate students, demonstrate a commitment to leadership at Regis University, exhibit significant leadership potential, and participate in the RegisCorps Leadership Certificate Program.
  2. Recipients are based on academic achievement, character, and in anticipation that the recipients use their education in the service of others. 
  3. Preference will be given to qualified applicants who demonstrate both financial need and exceptional effort in the leadership program.
  4. Scholarship awards will be granted up to $2,000 per academic year.
  5. The Scholarship is renewable, by reapplication for as many as three years or until the applicant’s completion of the RegisCorps Leadership Development Certificate Program.  Reapplication occurs in April of each academic year.
  6. Recipient(s) agree to the release of their information to the donors associated with the scholarship, as well as to publish their information in media releases and other publications.

*If the recipient does NOT meet the requirements under the criteria/guidelines, or make continued progress towards program completion, a Elaine Perry Scholarship may be revolked or not renewed.

Notice of Accountability
If you receive the scholarship, please understand that reapplication will occur a year later. Preference for returning applicants will be given to those who demonstrated participation via attendance at workshops, conferences, retreats, service trips, field experiences, and internships. Preference will also be given to those who have actively shown significant progress toward completion of RegisCorps.
If selected, I accept the RegisCorps scholarship associated with my enrollment into the RegisCorps Leadership Certificate Program. I profess that I am committed to the completion of the program and understand that this scholarship is an investment by the University community in my personal development. I also understand that I am making an investment in the Regis University community and as such I commit my talents, abilities and intellect in the pursuit of the skills, experiences and personal growth to go out and serve the world as an agent of change. By signing this statement I agree to fully take advantage of the experiences that the RegisCorps Leadership Certificate Program provides. I understand that I represent both Regis University and RegisCorps during all retreats, conferences, service trips, field experiences or internships that I take part in. I agree to represent Regis University and RegisCorps as an engaged, respectful and professional member of this community. *
