2023 Spring Challenge Kumite Seminar

Introduction
The goal of the seminar is to improve your technical ability regardless of experience or belt level, gain insight into mental and physical preparations from experienced tournament fighters and test your abilities in controlled, evenly-matched fights with the guidance of an experienced team of referees and judges.

Matches are optional for participants but are encouraged to test their technique and spirit in a controlled and safe environment. This will also provide an opportunity for our judges to apply their knowledge and ability to a live event.

Place: Seiyu Karate Downtown Dojo (1155 Thurlow Street, Vancouver)

Time: 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Open to: 15 years old and older who regularly attend our teens or adult’s class (if you are under 19, get your sensei’s approval)

Acknowledgment of Agreement:
I have chosen to participate in the 2023 Spring Challenge Kumite Seminar and I understand there are risks
involved in any physical activity. I, therefore, agree to not hold any sponsors, organizations, or individuals
responsible should any injury of any nature occur while taking part in this tournament. Upon being accepted
to participate in the tournament, I will obey all the rules and regulations governing said tournament. I agree
that this registration may be canceled at any time. I acknowledge event photos will be taken and posted on
social channels, and that I may be contacted with the information I provided.
I hereby authorize Vancouver Seiyu Karate to use the image of me taken during the class in its public relations
and communication materials to promote Vancouver Seiyu Karate.
