Before taking girls on a camp outing that includes outdoor cooking and/or fire building, Camp Out (Basic) training is required for at least one volunteer per group. This training must be renewed every five years. Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska now offers the opportunity to test out of renewing Camp Out (Basic) if you regularly used the training principles with your troop over the last five years. The test out quiz is for experienced outdoor volunteers only. If you haven’t used your Camp Out (Basic) training, you will need to renew your training in person.
