AGE REQUIREMENTS

Mini Kids (7 & under)

Children (12 & under)

Junior (13-16 yrs) Junior 1 Solo/Duo (13-14) + Junior 2 Solo/Duo (15-16)

Adult (17 & over)

Adult 2 (31 & over)

**age is determined as of Dec 31 the competition year, so Dec 31/2024.

BALLET REQUIREMENTS

12 & under - no pointe work allowed

13-16 yrs - pointe work optional, mandatory for repertoire solos

17 & over - pointe work mandatory

FEE

$30/each ballet, jazz, or modern/contemporary VIDEO audition. *Exception - see below

$35/total for in person, includes jazz & ballet (*may include modern/contemporary)

VIDEO AUDITIONS

You may submit more than one video for the genre you are auditioning for (example, 2 ballet videos), but the video fee is only for one genre. Please register for Acro separately, but you may e-transfer the fee together.

2 genres = $40

3 genres = $50

4 genres = $60 (with acro)

Please note that although we offer a video audition option for those that cannot make in-person, it is always preferred to come in person. It is harder to assess dancers by video and fewer acceptances are given this way. Please see website, under Ontario Ballet & Jazz Auditions for more information about video auditions. Currently, we are only planning video auditions for teams which Derek is choreographing for.
